You establish your strategy and then set it and forget it, right? Hopefully all of you reading this description immediately said no! Strategy is an ongoing evolution where an organization needs to continually review and refresh its strategies to ensure they still make sense and are positioning the organization for long-term success. This process needs to include multiple stakeholders and gain buy-in throughout the various levels of an organization.
In this session we explore the ongoing review and adjustment process discussing areas such as best practices, evaluation, adjustment, and strategic alignment. Some of the techniques we will discuss include creating a payment strategy champion, integrating payment-related strategic discussions into formal committees, and creating metrics and evaluation criteria. A payment strategy can’t be built in a silo, and it is critical that those tasked with the management of a payment strategy have a firm understanding of the organization’s direction. We will dive into different techniques that can be used to accomplish this and ensure that your payment strategy is well-developed and informed by market conditions and customer and member needs.
