Too often, staff is unaware of what constructive knowledge is and how important it is to take appropriate action when it is received. Training all staff on how to handle notifications of death is key for a quick response. Failure to properly handle death notifications could potentially lead to noncompliance and losses for the institution. This session covers the importance of taking action when learning of an account holder's death. Topics covered include constructive knowledge, The Green Book, ACH Rules, and the importance staff training.
