The strategic planning process is nothing new to most businesses. The need to continually evaluate one’s current position in the marketplace and determine appropriate tactics for achieving long-term success and alignment with organizational mission and vision is standard practice. In today’s modern banking environment, the function of payments has increased in complexity, impacting various areas, such as those related to operations, products and services, business client acquisition, internal processing, accounting, and more. In this five-part series, participants will work through the strategic planning process, breaking down the elements of the Faster Payments Playbook into actionable steps and relating these steps to the existing long-term organizational planning. The Faster Payment Series is an ideal resource for financial institution teams looking to fold faster payments into their current strategy or develop a faster payments-focused strategy. Concepts learned will tie into organizational strategic objectives, and tasks will be created for payment-related business units to meet said goals.
