There used to be a time when authorizations consisted of a piece of paper and a signature. Then it evolved to phone calls and online authorizations. That evolution happened because of the needs of the consumer and the technology that was available, so it’s safe to say the authorization process will never be that simple again since technology is always changing.
ACH authorizations can be confusing, as different forms of authorizations are required for different SEC Codes. With the rules having standing, oral, authorizations that can be TEL or a WEB for a written authorization and “other” authorizations, this session will dive into the Rules, the meaning behind these Rules, and how participants can decipher the improvements to the authorization requirements. Get a better understanding of the different types of authorizations and what you can expect to see if you ask for a copy of an authorization.
