ACH Origination is the process by which an Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI) transmit ACH credit and debit Entries through the network to Receiving Depository Financial Institutions (RDFIs) and ultimately Receiver accounts. Origination is a critical function of the ACH Network and enables businesses and consumers alike to move and manage their funds. ODFIs use origination as a means to attract and retain customers and members. The origination function involves processing elements, controls, and general risk management practices.

In this session, we explore the basics of origination discusses topics such as ACH participant roles and responsibilities, origination process flows, Originator onboarding practices, control mechanisms, and operational processes. Learners attending this session should walk away with a greater understanding of what these functions are and why they matter to the ODFI.

Come join this session to gain a greater understanding of the basics of ACH origination.
