Wire transfers are a key service offered by financial institutions, but they also expose financial institutions to elevated risks, so it’s important that wires are handled conscientiously. This session will build on the Wire Transfer Basics foundational course, which is available at no cost to NEACH members. This session focuses on wire transfer operations and compliance and will explore wire transfer warranties and responsibilities, exception processing, the legal/regulatory framework of wire transfers, and how these laws and regulations impact different facets of wire transfer processing.
Attendees will:
• Recognize wire transfer exceptions and identify how they should be handled
• Demonstrate an understanding of wire transfer warranties and responsibilities
• Analyze how the legal framework of wire transfers impacts wire transfer processing
