What the heck is a Third-Party Sender (TPS)? TPSs add a degree of complexity to the Origination functions of the ACH Network. With a TPS, the Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI) takes on a lot of added risk in that they are removed from that relationship by at least one layer. With this added risk, it is important that the ODFI have a solid understanding of the nature of the TPS relationship and its obligations under the Rules. It’s not enough to just say we don’t allow TPSs. ODFIs need to have a firm understanding of how to properly identify them and position Origination programs to appropriately manage and address them.
In this session, we explore the topic of Third-Party Senders, diving into the defining characteristics, use-cases, ACH Rules requirements, and recommended risk management practices. In addition, we provide techniques and tools to aid in the identify process and leave attendees with tactical approaches to addressing TPS management. Attending this session should give attendees a solid understanding of what how they can effectively manage Third Party Sender policy, process, and procedural decisions.
Come join us as we dive into the world of Third-Party Senders!
