This course is designed to create a common language and understanding between Operations, Legal, and Compliance regarding every institution’s obligations for balancing ACH and AML responsibilities. Using actual case studies, we will explore how transactions that automatically post to an account can trigger an AML investigation, including reporting and account remedial actions, to remain in compliance with law.

In this session attendees will:
• Compare transaction posting via ACH with AML obligations
• Define “actual knowledge” and “constructive knowledge”
• Examine how transactions can trigger an institutions’ AML responsibilities
• Document remedial actions under BSA, including remedial account handling & future transactions
